HISTORY & MISSION
Michelle Tiflinsky holds a Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from Long Island University. She has a variety of clinical experience including the public school system (elementary and middle school), early intervention and the geriatric population.
For the past ten years she has treated school age children working in public schools which consisted of helping students feel more confident in the classroom environment, organizational skills, handwriting, visual motor skills, visual perceptual skills, sensory integration and activities of daily living. She has also worked closely with parents and teachers to ensure carryover of strategies are being utilized in and out of the school environment. She also has four years of experience working with children ages 0-3 addressing developmental delays, various disabilities and collaborating with other professionals and parents to discuss the treatment and progress of the child. Finally, she has three years of experience working with the geriatric population helping patients regain the skills needed to continue living a meaningful and independent life to the best of their abilities.
Michelle truly believes that her experience and enthusiasm to grow as a therapist and make a difference in a child’s life will make her an asset to your child's development. There is nothing more that she enjoy's, other than working with children and seeing them smile and gain confidence.
